SISTERHOOD UNDERSTOOD

New Star #555 has been an active chapter for 24 years.

Originally, chartered and installed Sept. 16, 2000 and affiliated with Elite Grand Lodge #2003 & Elite Grand Chapter #2004 of Markham, Il. On January 12, 2009, we were chartered, installed and affiliated with M.W. St. John Grand Lodge and St. John Grand Chapter, OES of Chicago, Il.

MISSION

New Star Chapter #555 strives to take good people and through uplifting and elevating associations of sisterhood and love, and through precept and example, build a chapter that is truly dedicated to Truth, Charity and Loving Kindness.

We want to make a positive difference in the world through charitable works, unbreakable friendships, and kindness.

The Order of the Eastern Star is comprised of people from all walks of life and is open to all faiths, except for no faith. Our chapter teaches and encourages the highest principles of friendship and fidelity as well as moral social virtues. Fidelity to faithfulness and to our obligations; duties and observance; moral social virtues shown in moral excellence and righteousness; patience and goodness. Being a member of this Order and our Chapter means you will always have someone to lean on.

With a sister, you cannot have a grudge.

Having a sister is not just a trend.
